2a. Organizes, allocates, and manages the resources of time, space, and attention. Organization is one of the pillars for success in the classroom. Without it, it is far less likely that all of the requirements will be met or goals will be achieved. Organization of ones' resources includes managing time, space, and attention. In order to manage our time effectively, we have our daily schedule posted as well as our ELA and Math center schedules. Additionally, we utilize a timer throughout the day to keep us on track. Space is a precious commodity within the classroom, and there never seems to be enough. Our classroom is organized into quadrants, and at the start of the school year, the students are explicitly shown where everything is. Finally, we cannot forget that we must organize and allocate our attention. Our classroom is designed with the expectation that an adult can be at a child's side within seconds if the situation arises.
