2b. Manages individual and class behaviors through a well-planned management system. Treeline Elementary School employs PBS (Positive Behavior Support) as their school-wide behavior management system. During my final internship, I adopted it as well. I have had the pleasure of interning in other PBS schools and feel as though it is a highly effective behavior management system. As Treeline's mascot is a tree frog, their PBS money is called Coqui Cash, and their class incentive is called a Golden Coqui. These tools are excellent for whole class behavior management and to instill a sense of community. Additionally, my mentor teacher uses Class Dojo to mange individual behaviors. Prior to final internship, I had not been exposed to Class Dojo, but now, I cannot imagine a classroom without it. It encourages students to make good choices and shows them the fruits of their labors. I will absolutely be using Class Dojo when I have a classroom of my own.
