5c. Uses a variety of data, independently, and in collaboration with colleagues, to evaluate learning outcomes, adjust planning and continuously improve the effectiveness of the lessons.
Working collaboratively with ones' colleagues is imperative in the education field. A teacher's aim is for their students to be successful, but without the collaboration of other teachers, the students are only receiving their teacher's limited view. No matter how talented or effective a teacher is, they can always find ways to improve by working together with their peers. During my time at Treeline Elementary School, I attended a PLC Meeting every Thursday morning before school. During those meetings, I observed the second grade team exchanging ideas, techniques, and success stories. It was fantastic to get the perspectives of so many different teachers. I look forward to being a part of a team in the near future, and I hope it is as cohesive and supportive as the one I was a part of at Treeline.
