2c. Conveys high expectations to all students. Students must know what is expected of them, and as educators, we must make it abundantly clear that they can be successful in meeting those expectations. The goals we set for our students must push them to strive harder but still be attainable and within their reach. In our classroom, we have a data wall that shows the students our academic expectations and the corresponding reality. We track our students' progress throughout the year on their ELA concept tests, chapter Math tests, and STAR gains. This visual representation allows our students to see where they began and just how far they have come.
